12/20/12 Changes to the System

We have decided to change the way we present the V43 system to you. The format with the two formulas and different "star" ratings within the formulas and the possibility of cross-over "double-plays" or formula disagreements was certainly confusing for someone new to the system.

After splitting the statistics every way possible and retroactively testing a third formula designed to streamline the two existing V43 formulas, we have decided to present the selections as either "plays" or "double-plays." No more formula splits or star ratings. I will still have this data to constantly monitor the success of different splits within the system.

You may be wondering how the results would look right now had this new way of selecting and presenting picks been done from the start. The third formula run retroactively would have added 35 picks the system did not previously take, going 21-14 (.600). Formula 3 also would have nullified 9 picks that went 4-5 (.444) from the system. We are not changing the way "double-plays" are selected, as their success has been the backbone of the successful V43 system.

With a sample size over 140 and an overall success rate just under 60% it may seem odd that we would now make changes to the system. We are always looking for improvement and don't see any point in waiting. "Double-plays" are currently 20-8-1 (.714). Taking these plays away, regular plays are only 43-41-1 (.512). Had formula 3 been used, this regular game record would be 60-50-1 (.545).

We are very excited about the early results but believe we can improve upon them and make the system more user-friendly for those new to it.

Thank you for your visit.
